Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty-two times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) Three samples of known concentration were tested six times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Spike Recovery
The spike recovery was evaluated by spiking 3 levels of human CCL18/PARC/MIP-4 into health human serum sample. The un-spiked serum was used as blank in this experiment.
The recovery ranged from 92% to 109% with an overall mean recovery of 101%.
Sample Values
| Sample Matrix | Sample Evaluated | Range (ng/ml) | Detectable (%) | Mean of Detectable (ng/ml) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Serum | 30 | 7.85-29.14 | 100 | 18.17 |
Serum/Plasma – Thirty samples from apparently healthy volunteers were evaluated for the presence of human CCL18/PARC/MIP-4 in this assay. No medical histories were available for the donors. n.d. = non-detectable. Samples measured below the sensitivity are considered to be non-detectable.
Product Data Sheet
Background: CCL18/PARC/MIP-4
Pulmonary and activation-regulated chemokine (PARC), also known as alternative macrophage activation-associated CC chemokine (AMAC)-1, macrophage inflammatory protein (MIP)-4, and dendritic cell chemokine (DC-CK1), is a novel CC chemokine that is highly homologous to MIP-1 alpha (61% amino acid sequence identity). In vitro, PARC mRNA expression is induced in alternatively activated macrophages by Th2 cytokines such as IL-4, IL-10 and IL-13, and inhibited by IFN-gamma.
