Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) Three samples of known concentration were tested six times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Spike Recovery
The spike recovery was evaluated by spiking 3 levels of human/mouse MASP2 into health human/mouse serum sample. The un-spiked serum was used as blank in this experiment.
The recovery ranged from 81% to 120% with an overall mean recovery of 101%.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Serum | 30 | 12.58-41.69 | 100 | 23.31 |
Serum/Plasma – Thirty samples from apparently healthy volunteers were evaluated for the presence of MASP2 in this assay. No medical histories were available for the donors.
Product Data Sheet
Background: MASP2
MASP-2 is a serine protease encoded by the MASP2 gene and belongs to the S1 family of peptidases. Its precursor proteins are proteolyzed to form A and B chains, and heterodimerization forms mature enzymes with a molecular weight of about 76 kDa. MASP-2 contained an N-terminal CUB domain, an epidermal growth factor-like domain (EGF), and a C-terminal serine protease catalytic domain. It forms a complex by binding to mannose-binding lectin (MBL), which is activated under stimulation of specific glycan patterns on the pathogen surface, specifically cleaves complement C4 and C2, generates C3 convertase, and initiates the complement cascade of lectin pathways.
