Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty-two times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) Three samples of known concentration were tested six times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Spike Recovery
The spike recovery was evaluated by spiking 3 levels of human Interferon omega-1/IFNW1 into health human serum sample. The un-spiked serum was used as blank in this experiment.
The recovery ranged from 80% to 109% with an overall mean recovery of 95%.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Serum | 30 | n.d.-0.27 | 18.75 | 0.20 |
Serum/Plasma – Thirty samples from apparently healthy volunteers were evaluated for the presence of human Interferon omega-1/IFNW1 in this assay. No medical histories were available for the donors. n.d. = non-detectable. Samples measured below the sensitivity are considered to be non-detectable.
Product Data Sheet
Background: Interferon omega-1/IFNW1
Interferon-omega (IFN-omega), a type I interferon, is a monomeric glycoprotein distantly related in structure to IFN-alpha and IFN-beta, but unrelated to IFN-gamma. The human type I interferon receptor complex, which mediates the biological activity of IFN-alpha and IFN-beta, also binds IFN-omega. The complex is composed of a 100 kDa ligand-binding subunit (IFN-alpha R1) and a 125 kDa subunit (IFN-alpha R2) that is involved both in ligand binding and signal transduction. IFN-omega is secreted by virus-infected leukocytes.
