Spike Recovery
The spike recovery was evaluated by spiking 3 levels of Human IL-29/IFN-Iambda 1 into health human serum sample. The un-spiked serum was used as blank in this experiment.
The recovery ranged from 87% to 110% with an overall mean recovery of 96%.

Serum/Plasma – Thirty samples from apparently healthy volunteers were evaluated for the presence of IL-29/IFN-Iambda 1 in this assay. No medical histories were available for the donors.

Background: IL-29/IFN-Iambda 1
IFN-lambda 1 (IL-29) is a member of the type III interferon family. IFN-lambda 1 signals through the heterodimeric receptor complex of IFNλ receptor 1 (IFNLR1) and IL-10 receptor subunit-β (IL-10RB). When IFN-lambda 1 binds to the receptor complex, Jak1 and Tyk2 will be activated and lead to subsequent IFN-λR1 tyrosine phosphorylation, and activate STAT1 and STAT2. IFN-lambda 1 regulates immunity in anti-infective and autoimmune diseases. IFN-lambda 1/IL-29 protein, Human is a recombinant human IFN-lambda 1 (G20-T200) produced by E. coli without any tag.
