Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty-two times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision. Spike Recovery
The spike recovery was evaluated by spiking 3 levels of human IL-19 into health human serum sample. The un-spiked serum was used as blank in this experiment.
The recovery ranged from 80% to 119% with an overall mean recovery of 114%.

Serum/Plasma – Thirty samples from apparently healthy volunteers were evaluated for the presence of human IL-19 in this assay. No medical histories were available for the donors. n.d. = non-detectable. Samples measured below the sensitivity are considered to be non-detectable.

Background: IL-19
Human Interleukin 19 (IL-19) is a member of the IL-10 family of related cytokines. IL-19 contains seven helices and is secreted as a 35 kDa glycosylated monomer. IL-19 expression has been observed in keratinocytes and monocytes. IL-19 binds a receptor complex consisting of IL-20R alpha and the IL-20 R beta. This receptor complex is also shared by IL-20 and IL-24.
