Target information
PRRSV N protein is one of the main structural proteins of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) and is encoded by ORF7. This protein is highly expressed in virus-infected cells and is mainly involved in the formation of viral nucleocapsid and viral replication.
N protein has high conservation and can be stably expressed in the early stage of infection and persistent infection, making it an important target for PRRSV detection and immunodiagnosis. This protein is mainly localized in the cytoplasm and perinuclear region of infected cells, and is commonly found in target cells such as alveolar macrophages.
Overview of antibody
This antibody is used in paired sandwich Elisa and is reactive to both PRRSV type I (European) and type II (North American) strains. PRRSV type I and type II. derived recombinant N proteins can be recognized in Western blot experiments.
